PLANTS

Let's review the unit:

2.  Below you can see some illustrative examples about PLANT PARTS, FLOWERING PANTS and its RESPIRATION.


- FLOWERING PLANTS are the biggest group of plants :

A) GYMNOSPERMS have small flowers, but no fruit. Their seeds are all together in cones. For example, pine trees.

B) ANGIOSPERMS have flowers and fruit. For instance, chesnut trees are angiosperms.


RESPIRATION: Like all living things plants breathe. They take oxygen from the air, and release carbon dioxide. The exchange of gases is called respiration. It takes places in leaves continually, day and night.
